Well, I finished Dear John this weekend. I'm happy that I finished in time for the movie to come out this coming weekend. I'm sad, because this book was really good, as well as the fact that now all I have to read are textbooks. I hope to go to Barns and Noble sometime this week to go buy a new book. I hope to get an ereader by the end of the year, which would mean that I could instantly buy a new book when I finish. I've posted a picture of someone using a Kindle...I wish it was me :(
Dear John was a really good book. It was sad at the end (which was expected considering it's by Nicholas Spark.) I wish the book went on a little longer and told me more about what happened in the 6 years between the last chapters.
I highly recommend this book...now if I can only find the next book to read...

Try the public library for recommendations. I've picked out quite a few winners by doing this. The last book I read was Enchantment by Orson Scott Card. I actually listened to it driving back and forth to school, it was an audio book I downloaded free from my library's website. It's the "original" version of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. I wasn't too sure about it when I downloaded it, but once I started listening to it, it was hard to stop.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read "Dear John" myself, and based on everyone's reviews, including yours, I will definitely have to try to read it before I plan on seeing the movie next week. I don't know what styles of books you are interested in, but I have heard the book, The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold is amazing. Plus the movie just came out for that book, similar to how Dear John is just now being released, so it would be another opportunity to read the book and then see the movie version.
